Drive By Firings-Rhee’s on the Road Again
In yet another episode of “BECAUSE I CAN,” DC Chancellor, Michelle Rhee has fired 22 Assistant Principals without evaluation or warning.
According to Aona Jefferson, executive vice president of the Council of School Officers,“These appear to be random, arbitrary, political, discriminatory and personal in nature.”
Rhee has refused to return any of the union’s requests for information, well, BECAUSE SHE CAN!
Now, one guess as to which alternative leadership program she will use to replace those pesky administrators.
Yes, Teach for America has its own alternative leadership program. Like New York City’s Leadership Academy, TFA has created the School Leadership Initiative in which individuals with two whole years of teaching can enter public schools and completely destroy them.
She’s already hired a record number of TFA teachers to replace those she’s obliterated in DC.
Just what failing schools need! Ill prepared teachers and administrators!
