About The Inmate
Chances are if you are reading this, either you or a loved one is knee deep in the criminal justice system. Our inmate has spent hundreds of hours personally reading about and researching the Federal Prison System. Through this educational process, he has found conflicting material and he hopes to be able to provide accurate and reliable data to our readers.
If you want or need more information about federal prison, we hope we can help give you the necessary knowledge you need. This site is written by an inmate who is currently serving a 48-month sentence in a Federal Institution (prison). Our inmate wishes to remain anonymous at this time for a couple of reasons:
1. Our inmate is appealing his case and with pending litigation there is always a chance that information will be misinterpreted.
2. Our inmate is starting his sentence, and while the Bureau of Prisons does not have any rules against commenting on prison, we would be naive to think that our honest information may not at times rub prison officials the wrong way. Our only desire is to report true and honest information about our experiences.
We encourage you to read the blog, comment on the posts and ask whatever questions you would like. We will always answer your questions truthfully and as accurately as possible, as we are not offering anything for sale.
